The main function of the clamp is to fasten the slave cylinder of the hydraulic rim brake onto the brake mount. This brake clamp has adjustable aluminium ball spacers; it allows you to adjust the brake pads precisely to the rim.
Recommendation: Use lubricant grease on the threaded end.
